International Nanny Training Day, AZ

International Nanny Training day 2019 will be held in Scottsdale, Arizona on April 13th, 2019 from  8:30am - 3:00pm at the beautiful Modern Milk. International Nanny Training day is an annual worldwide event created to provide support and training to nannies and other childcare providers across our country and the globe. iNNTD is held in over 40 cities across the US and there is an anticipated 3000+ nannies expected to participate this year!

International Nanny Training day is held to recognize the needs of young children and to raise awareness of the positive correlation between nanny training and quality care.

The Nanny Joynt  would like to invite any and ALL nannies, Newborn Care Specialists, and other childcare providers to join us for a fun day of exciting educational classes and to give you the opportunity to meet and connect with other professionals in our nanny community.

WORKSHOP DETAILS AND SCHEDULE

8:30am - Registration 

8:55am - Introduction and Welcome 

9:00am -  The Intentional Nanny: BE-ing vs DO-ing - Jill Petersen 

Your profession as a nanny puts you in a position as a leader, a superhero even! Learning to live with intention can open up possibility for your life and those that you are caring for.  The goal for this session is to help you realize the impact you have and to open your eyes to who you can choose to be for the families you work for and yourself. 

10:15am -  Super Power Discipline Techniques - Chelsea Kunde

Join Chelsea Kunde, a Marriage and Family Therapist and Behavior Interventionist in discussing real life discipline principles and solutions. Join her to learn creative and effective interventions for children. Take away 5 tangible and practical solutions to implement with kiddos to help with multiple behaviors. Learning ways to help children calm down, soothe, relax and communicate their emotions appropriately.

11:30am -  Lunch 

12:30pm - 1:45pm - Purposeful Professionalism – How to Prepare for interviews, Share your Experience and Be Yourself - Meredith Madsen 

In this session we’ll share tips and tricks for perfecting your resume, how to prepare for and knock your interviews out of the park, ways to share your experience that will resonate and how to be professional while staying true to your values.  Some of the ideas will be tactical in nature, and changes you can make right away! Others will be questions you will want to spend some time thinking about!

1:45pm - 2:45pm - Be each others SUPERHERO… Working together to solve your problems - Group Session

In this session we will work as groups discussing some of the biggest challenges you face as a nanny. We will collectively come up with several solutions that you can take home with you and put into practice or have in your back pocket should a problem arise. This is a fun and interactive workshop meant to engage and help you realize we all face similar problems and we can work through them best as a team! 

2:45pm  - 3 pm - Closing remarks and wrap up
